First Descents
First Descents is a non-profit organization that specializes in giving young adult (aged 18-39) cancer survivors free weeklong experiences. In that week, the participants learn how to out live their diagnosis through engaging outdoor experiences such as whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and surfing. Adriene found a whole new love for whitewater kayaking after she began working for First Descents leading the trips.
